Is Growth Hacking Worthwhile?
If you spend enough time learning about business, how to market your business, and how to grow your business, you will inevitably come across a number of articles that talk about growth hacking. They are those little tips and tricks that you can do to rapidly increase brand awareness, and ultimately bring in more paying customers and clients. Growth hacking is a way to bring about success much more rapidly.
But are you doing it right? Are you growth hacking in a way that will ultimately let your business prosper? Let’s take a look at what the experts say about it, and make sure that your hacks are doing you good.
Growth Hacking will Only Work If the Time is Right.
There is so much buzz about the terms growth hacking that many people lose sight of what it is and how to do it. They know they have a small startup business, and they need to make sure that everyone knows all about it! If you’re trying to hack your way to success immediately after launch, you’re gonna have a bad time.
That’s what Rahul Varshneya is telling us. The idea is that growth hacking only works when you’re poised and ready to go. Try it too soon and it’s going to fall flat. So how do you know when you’re ready? Well first you read through his list of how it can do more harm than good, and you see if you’re set to take off. It’s in depth and has a ton of great insights that will make you stop and think “Am I ready?”
The Basics of Growth Hacking (The Easy Stuff)
So you’re all set. You have market fit, your channels are identified, you have a plan, and you’re ready to see explosive growth. Perfect! Now where do you start? The biggest problem a lot of startups run into is that they have a great idea, they are ready to tackle the world, but they have no idea how to get off the ground.
Fortunately you’re not alone. Kerry Butters talked about the three steps you need to apply right away so that you can get started hacking your way to success. You know that buzzphrase that you love to hate? The one that tells you to “think outside the box”? That’s where it all starts. Don’t settle into a routine, explore and expand!
The Big List of Hacks (The Hard Stuff)
Now that you’ve exhausted the easy channels (such as creating some highly shareable content for your Facebook page), you’re ready to move on to the next level of growth hacking. This is where you are really going to have to dig in. Many of the other “hacks” are really just what you need to do as a startup. The rest of these are what are truly growth hacking.
Sergey from ahrefs was kind enough to send me over this list. It was written by Lauren Holliday earlier this year and it has a ton of useful information. It’s described as the complete list of growth hacking tactics, and it goes through 20 different techniques how you can get your name out there and grow your business. A seriously good read and worth your time.
Sery Content Development Helps with your Success
As I stated in my last growth hacking article, we aren’t growth hackers. We supply high quality content that is targeted to your market, and we manage your social media presence. It’s part of the growth hacking, but there is more that you need to do to see the huge success that some other companies have seen.
